The Black Sea region is distinguished by its cultural and biogeological heritage. Today, when we challenge climate change, the importance of this region becomes increasingly important.
On December 9, AE Tbilisi Hub together with Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Ilia State University, Leibnitz Institute for Biodiversity Change and Rewind.earth Initiative is planning an international conference “Biocultural History and the Future of the Black Sea”
The interdisciplinary conference will gather scientists studying the biological and cultural evolution as well as the ecological condition of the region to discuss the challenges caused by climate change and ways to address them.
The scientists as well as students of Batumi University from the relevant faculties will attend the Conference making it especially important as future professionals who will be dealing with the ecological challenges soon enough need to understand the challenges of their region.
